The Maj is not that bad on tightly packed dirt roads, but would it ever be possible to make a dual purpose version that had better shocks, front and read, dual purpose tires, and a little more aggressive sort of Kawasaki KLR650 look? It would not be for off-roading so much as for logging and fire roads and really mild trails. I would buy that in a heartbeat. If you can design that, you have created the perfect vehicle. There is no perfect bike. Quit dreaming. They want us to have multiple bikes. I keep thinking a merger between the KLR and the Versys would be a pefect bike. The closest that I see is the F800GS and its way too expensive and complicated. _________________ without a plan, when failure comes, it will come as a complete surprise. |

| Australia used to offer a dual sport derived from the Ninja 500. I thought it was a neat looking bike, but it didn't last long. |

The KLR 650 IS the perfect bike. I would have bought an '08 if they weren't having all those oil ring problems (which I think they fixed this year, right after I bought my Maj). _________________ MBK: 2005 Blue Majesty / "Bluebie"
