Engine poping

When I slow to stop I hear engine poping . Deacelaration from high rpm to lower rpm is this normal .

Usually engine popping on deceleration is a lean condition and is normal for most machines and can be over exaggerated by leaking exhaust/ custom or open exhaust, if your hearing it through the air box then likely your valves are too tight etc.
Without knowing anything about your machine I'd assume you have a exhaust leak.

Both of our 07 and 09 bikes pop a little on deceleration, I assumed normal.
I think they run great otherwise, and have never done anything about it.
