Galfer are nice, but NG Brake Disc is just as good and CHEAPER!

Jezuz. Significantly more expensive than a set of rotors for my Jeep! What's so special about them?

They are over-sized, larger diameter 298mm VS 264mm original for increased leverage, and the adapters to mount them. Rudimentary physics.. 8)

My point was really that the stock rotors already supply outstanding stopping power. This being the case, how is this aftermarket set possibly worth some $700, just for more of the same?

It's true, standard TMax brakes (well mine's a 500) are amazingly powerful and give incredible feel. I'd go as far as to say ABS is not needed on these bikes as the brakes are superb, light, powerful and with amazing feedback.
Buying new rotors, I think I'd have to say I think I'd buy from Yamaha and pay the full price. Having bought aftermarket discs for other bikes in the past and been very disappointed with the results. (Squeeling, rusting, short lifespan, etc.) I'd be especially wary of cheaper Chinese brands. DAMHIK

NG Brake Disc is a Spanish OEM supplier for most European auto manufacturers.

A set of all three factory discs will run you $412.00

Spend the extra $ and upgrade those brakes (assuming you already did stage ONE and put in HH pads...)

With HH pads the improvement is dramatic; with those pads on larger rotors it will be amazing.

You can never have too much brake...

I have some Malossi sintered pads & stainless braided brake lines I'm putting on shortly, but I already know that I'll be overwhelming the forks at that point (I'm overwhelming the forks already). Looking at fork cartridges as my next purchase....

Dont comment on ABS brakes and say they are not necessary unless you have tried them,
You dont need any more diameter unless you can control the extra force. That is why abs will help you in the event of panic braking.
Sure you may be better off on the race track without it but thats another story. The max is not a race bike.
Keep control. Look up stay up,!!!!
