Removed the Butt Bumper

Postby stick47 » Wed Apr 19, 2017 18:41 18

I needed leg room so took off the butt bumper and tried a 3Brothers backrest. That didn't help so am sending it back. Bought one of these and velcro'd it on the seat.

It self inflates and can be adjusted to suit.

My Majesty is like yours. I took the (front) seat off by unbolting it from underneath. That left the hard plastic form. I added some foam to that where I wanted it, then recovered it with marine vinyl. The result was not only a little lower seating position but a much better(comfortable) riding position due to better hip-leg angle, and a bit more legroom. You can see if it will work for you by unbolting the seat and trying sitting on the seat pan. You'd be surprised at how little foam is necessary.

Sounds interesting minimac. Do you have any pictures you can share of that seat?
Thanks, stick

Re: the air pillow mod, For now, it's a temporary fix. I'm unsure whether or not I'll keep the Majesty or upgrade.
For now it's allowing me to ride comfortably and I'll decide later what I'm going to do with the bike.
Thanks, stick
